uhh well egg smashing skills.
Tasty cupcake I brought back from my work trip.
...and a week after that a co-worker brought in too many beautiful cupcakes that I just had to snatch one for Norah.
needless to say, now she is obsessed with cupcakes!

and at the zoo. Norah's scoping the plain with her telescope.
and she got to ride one of the rhinos!
look no hands!
hey, wait a minute. That's not a telescope. It's a kaleidoscope!
ooh look! An air-conditioner vent.
Norah and Momma have been having breakfast/lunch on the deck by candlelight for the past two days. Soo nice outside. :)
Excited to be at the park!
Norah just "poke-a-eye"'ed the dragon. Run away! Run away!

January beach trip
Justin went golfing most of the weekend while Norah and I explored the beach + more.
Breakfast #1. Variety: Bacon, fruit, biscuit, and Raisin Bran.
Aquarium day!

Norah liked this one because of the Nemos and Doras.
Went browsing and this is as close to the dinosaur as Norah would get.
But she mimicked him at lunchtime at Johnny Rockets.
Finally beach day!
Norah's all time favorite video of herself. (sideways lame I know, I will fix it if/when I download a program to edit it)
Lunch at a hole in the wall Thai cafe, which turned out to be super yummy for both of us!
By our last morning, Norah found the Fruit Loops.
Rainy day, but we still enjoyed the beach

Norah and Momma almost stuck by rising water, it's raining, Norah poopy, and we have a mile walk ahead of us to get back to the hotel...but thank goodness for chain restaurants! There when you need them and with mac n cheese!
Belly full + ride home = zzzz

Boa Noite!
Brasil!
yeah, yeah. I know. No write blog long time.
And a majority of the blog followers don't give a hill of beans about posts without cute Norah pictures... suffer through the following and perhaps you'll be rewarded
Let's just overlook 3 months of inaction to check out a few pictures from Petropolis, Brazil. It's a beautiful town outside of Rio de Janeiro where my employer has a jet motor factory.
Today was my first day in Brazil and so far so good. I'm in Petropolis for the next week and a half to help out at the local facility. The people I've met have been very friendly and inviting, the town might as well be some where in Switzerland or Germany (with the added bonus of palm trees and monkeys!!!) and the food so far has been unreal. The caipirinhas ain't so bad either.
Nisha and Norah will come with me next time.
My Brazillian Portugeuse is pretty week but I'm getting around.

Here's Norah in her cutest "lunch" outfit. Nisha has friends that voluteer at the Carolina Tiger Rescue and hosted us and a few others for a private tour. Very fun! Norah agrees!
Yes, that's a rickety chain link fence that doesn't appear to be anchored on the bottom. Really neat place but you really come to understand your position in the food chain in the grand scheme of things... in this case definitely not at the top.
